HOT Events is looking for a talented Events and Groups Executive to join their team located on Victoria Street in Christchurch.
The ideal candidate will have been in a travel consulting role, specialising in events and groups. The candidate will bring an enthusiasm for creating events, selling travel, extensive personal travel experience, and a comprehensive knowledge of travel products and destinations.
To be considered for this full time, office based role you must be a friendly and motivated individual with personality plus; have excellent organisational skills, and have the necessary experience.
Essential Experience:
A passion for travel, including a good knowledge of world-wide destinations
Experience in group travel
The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
Experience in Events Air (or an equivalent system) and Amadeus or Galileo
Initiative
A sense of humour a prerequisite
Strong written and oral communication skills
A dedicated team member
Requirements:
Flexible seven-day availability if required (this role will typically be Monday – Friday, however weekend work may be required with event demands).
A full New Zealand Driver’s License
The right to work in New Zealand
Ability to travel within New Zealand and overseas with groups as required
High standard of personal presentation
Due to the requirements of many events, proof of vaccination status with ‘My Vaccine Pass’ will need to be provided.
